Betsy Bernell

She married the love of her life, Louis Bernell, at her family's home residence in the Warwick Hotel. A special treat was that the wedding dress was designed by her great-uncle Henri Bendel of Lafayette, Louisiana and New York City.

Betsy & Louis enjoyed traveling across the globe, filling their home with art and unique pieces from around the world and around the country.

They were lifetime supporters of the Arts and were longtime supporters of the Houston Symphony, with season tickets for many decades. Above all else, Betsy’s greatest joy was her family.

David S. Miller

He grew up in River Oaks, Graduated Rice Institute (before they changed the name to Rice University) with a Bachelor Degree in accounting.

He was a private pilot, and owned a Cessna 182 which he used to survey family properties from above, as well as for traveling between Houston and Lakeway.
