who as an entrepreneur and risk taker, started his first business in high school. As a Merchant Marine, he learned to work with sheet metal and helped build the Liberty Ships used during WWII. From there he and wife Irene launched a business installing stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment which became national in scope;
The Estate of Betty Lou Blumrosen,
As member of the Junior League, Betty Lou's favorite placement was as Chair of the 1967 Follies. She also served on the Board of Planned Parenthood for 10 years, on the Board of Shaareth Israel Temple, and on the Texas Tech Board for Future Planning. Betty Lou and J.R. were members of many social clubs in Lubbock, including the Terpsichorean Dance Club.
Betty Lou mastered the stock market through intense research. As the consummate student, she passed her tests and became a licensed broker, specializing in mutual funds.
She advised her clients for 22 years, retiring at age 79;

She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Michaels for many years, and an avid supporter and member of the Charity Guild of Catholic Women Organization.
