Paul and Nancy met at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and married in 1960, sharing nearly 60 years together. After starting their life in Findlay, Ohio, they moved to Houston, where Paul founded Tampimex’s Houston office and later Concord Petroleum. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as the longtime owner of The Villager Gift Shop, whose warmth, style, and dedication made it a cherished part of the Memorial community for 33 years.

She was a spirited and independent woman whose wit, warmth, and strong opinions left a lasting impression. A gifted interior designer, she shaped homes and communities across Houston and generously supported the Theta Charity Antiques Show, UT Austin, and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Nancy’s creativity, loyalty, and love for others made her truly unforgettable.
the Living Estate of Caroline Staub Callery
As a founding member of the Houston Audubon Society, Caroline Staub Callery was instrumental in the purchase of large tracts of critical migratory bird habitat along the upper Texas Coast. These refuges are now a well-known destination for birders from around the world. She received the Roger Tory Peterson award from President H.W. Bush for her tireless efforts. At the behest of Ima Hog was a Fundraiser and Board Member of the MFAH, as well as a docent at the Arboretum. She is the youngest daughter of renowned American architect John Fanz Staub, who designed several homes in River Oaks.
